Where We Practice

Quest’s offices are located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, all therapy, assessment intakes, and assessment feedbacks have transitioned to telehealth. While some assessment sessions are able to be conducted 100% virtually, this is at the psychologist’s discretion at the assessment intake appointment. Otherwise, testing sessions are completed on-site at 1120 First Colonial Road, Suite 202, Virginia Beach, VA.

For all virtual services, patients must be physically located (not just a resident) in a state in which the treating clinician is licensed. The only exception is if patients are located in a PSYPACT state AND are being treated by a PSYPACT clinician, as defined below. Further information about licensure and the PSYPACT status of each clinician is available on the Staff page.

PSYPACT

Some psychologists hold the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) under PSYPACT*, which allows those clinicians to practice telehealth in participating states. As of June 2022, these states include: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin. As multiple states are still in the process of enacting legislation to join PSYPACT, the most up-to-date list of states can be found on the PSYPACT map.

*PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. PSYPACT is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. In order to practice telepsychology in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only, can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of PSYPACT and is comprised of one representative from each PSYPACT state. More information regarding PSYPACT and its requirements can be found at www.psypact.org.
